Shadowshapers Guild

The Shadowshapers guild was created in 74 Tralirs in the city of Alderworth and is not considered an official guild of Alderworth. Alderworth Guards have various members of this guild on their warning list for being wanted. Shadowshapers are thieves, rogues, and assassins that to mercenary work for a good price. While they might be the vermin of the city, they do hold onto their code of conduct and if it is broken, the member is banished or even worse killed. 

About the Shadowshapers Guild

The current master thief of the Shadowshapers is Vash Obadiah Harriden. Harriden is a sneaky and conning man that will do anything to make a profit over the bodies of his enemies. But as master of his guild and while not showing it, he cares for his members and the members relay greatly on him for his guidance. It is rumored that Harriden had a relationship with the viscountess for a short period of time.

Shadowshapers Guild holds its strength over Ashenvale Nest, their hideout from the guards or any other foe that has ill intent towards them. The Ashenvale Nest is hidden below the Drirrilf Hill covered by cloak magic and only accessible by those that are marked as a member of the Shadowshapers. Ashenvale Nest functions as a home to those that seek it, black market deals can be found here and access to various tunnels that lead into Alderworth.

Membership Criteria

To join the Shadowshapers, is to be selected. You can't simply sign up at a counter, you will be scouted and if you fit the requirement of being poor, being rebels, being a policing problem. You will be scouted and put on a trail to become a Shadowshapers, this trail tends to throw the person toward stealing something from a noble person, without killing anyone. If in the progress someone is killed, you are on your own. You can access the nest and be able to make use of their offered facilities, but break their code and you will be banished or worse be killed.

The Code
  • Avoid killing at any cost, kill only in defense
  • Don't rob the poor
  • Don't sell out the Nest, death will meet you
  • Never speak of our secrets, keep your lips sealed
  • Fight where must be fought, flee where is possible
Plausible quest from Shadowshapers:
  • Black Jack: A strange man claims the man is in for a fun day. A new casino opened up in town and is giving everybody a freeroll on their slot machine, with a little luck who knows what could happen. Concerned of the situation and a little distrustful of this strange man, the man warily agrees to the proposal, it all seemed rather odd, but there was no time to waste and a choice had to be made.
  • Sneaky Glory: A new friend claims the elderly man has been chosen to compete against others of other regions in a 'competition'. The winner will gain not only the honor and glory of winning but will also never need for anything for the rest of their life. Believing both the situation and this new friend, the elderly man somewhat reluctantly agrees to the proposal, there must be truth to all this and if so, this was the right choice to make.
