[Religion] Eulonith
« on: November 27, 2019, 09:19:42 PM »
What is Eulonith?

Eulonith is an old belief system revolving around reincarnation. Their main teachings revolve around connectivity and nature, and these teachings are often passed on through bi-weekly meetings and visits to spiritual places. Eulonith teachings come from lessons passed down from the first people who are generally seen as well informed. They often express their beliefs through candles, clothing, and murals. The gods are equal towards those of the Norse Gods, more information can be found here

Being an old religion, Eulonith has gained different variations with varying followings, some of whom aren't all too friendly toward each other. Eulonith is often met with disdain or disrespect in the rest of the world.

What Realms exist in Eulonith?
  • Alfheim - The land of the light elves in Asgard
  • Asgard – Land of the Aesir
  • Bifrost – The flaming rainbow bridge between Asgard and Midgard
  • Helheim – The realm of the dead in Niflheim, ruled over by the monster Hel.
  • Jotunheim – Land of the giants
  • Midgard – The realm of mankind.
  • Niflheim – Land of freezing mist and darkness and home of Hel.
  • Valhalla – Hall presided over by Odin where the Einherjar await Ragnarok.
  • Vanaheim – Land of the Vanir in Asgard.
  • Yggdrasill – The world tree (Hodmimir’s wood)

Traditions in Alderworth
  • Dance of Roots: to dance barefoot at a wedding. It's supposed to brighten the future of the married couple.
  • One Touch: for a lifetime: a baby touch the front door of its home before entering it for the first time. It's supposed to be an omen of good fortune.
  • Close Thus Eyes: they blindfold the dead. It's supposed to prevent the spirit of the deceased from trying to return.
  • Dance the Passing: to dance in a circle around a recently deceased person. It's supposed to help both the spirit of the deceased and the mourning process of the living. Songs are provided by the Lolokosh Guild.
  • Full Circled Moon: for the men to go out in nature with their fathers to survive on nature on the first full moon of the year. It's supposed to be a symbol of selflessness and courage and it's usually part of a larger celebration that can last for almost a week.
